A community of practice for nonprofits on Zoho CRM and Bigin
Most nonprofits pay for a CRM and open it only to record work that's already done. Connected to Claude, the same CRM can draft your donor follow-ups, prepare the founder's report and remind you who you've lost touch with. The tools are already here. What's missing is the time to learn them and people to learn with. Amplify gives you both.
Sound familiar?
We hear the same things from fundraising and programme teams across India. None of them is about the software being bad.
I'll update the CRM later.
The CRM gets filled in after the meeting, after the donation, after the report. It records the work instead of helping with it.
Only one person knows how to pull that report.
The founder asks a simple question and waits two days. Friday becomes spreadsheet day.
We forgot to follow up.
A CSR proposal sits unanswered for a month. A regular donor's UPI mandate fails and nobody notices.
We pay for licences we barely use.
Half the team logs in once a month. Everything else lives in WhatsApp, inboxes and someone's Excel.
When she left, the relationships left with her.
Years of funder history sit in the CRM, but nobody has time to dig through it before the next meeting.
We've watched the AI videos. We still haven't set it up.
The guides exist online. Without time, help and someone to ask, it never gets done.
A register you fill in after the work is done.
A colleague that helps you decide what to do next, and does the first draft.
What changes
Pick a conversation. Each one is an everyday fundraising job, done by asking a question the way you'd ask a colleague.
Illustration with made-up organisations, people and numbers. Tool names simplified.
A community of practice
Everything you need to connect Claude to Zoho is already online. Most teams still don't do it, because learning alone is slow and there's nobody to ask when it doesn't work. Amplify puts you in a small group of nonprofits facing the same problems, with EdZola alongside.
Our sector doesn't need more CRM developers. It needs CRM amplifiers: people inside nonprofits who help their teams get far more from the systems they already have.
Where it leads
These are the jobs nonprofit teams bring to us most often. By the end of the four weeks, you'll have done at least three of them on your own CRM.
Raised against target, pipeline health, CSR renewals due and the one ask you need from leadership.
Find every past grant, trustee link and old contact tied to a funder before you walk into the meeting.
What moved, what stalled and who needs a call, without building a report by hand.
One page on donation history, the last conversation and open commitments, pulled from notes and emails.
Duplicate donors, missing PAN for 80G receipts and leads nobody owns, listed for a person to fix.
A weekly check, like a list of CSR proposals with no reply, that runs by itself and waits for a person to approve the next step.
Who it's for
You don't need to be technical or a big team. If your organisation pays for Zoho CRM or Bigin, even if you hardly use it, this is for you.
Individual donors, major donors, CSR proposals, 80G receipts and utilisation reports.
Leaders who want straight answers from the CRM without waiting for a report.
The one everyone asks for reports, clean-ups and "can the CRM do this?"
Partner NGOs, volunteers or beneficiary follow-ups tracked in Bigin or CRM.
The four weeks
Each week has a 90-minute live session, then you practise on your own CRM with help close by. Plan for about 3 hours a week.

Bring one job that eats your week, like the founder report or a CSR proposal. Work it through with your pod and a mentor.

Set up a weekly job that runs on its own and waits for your approval. Then plan what your team takes on next.

What's included
Hands-on, with time to build in every session.
Bring whatever is stuck. The EdZola team helps you fix it.
Ask your pod and the wider group any time. EdZola replies within one working day.
One call per organisation in week 2 or 3 to unblock what's stuck.
You work on your own paid account. Sharing your screen is optional. Some teams add a few test records to practise on.
Step-by-step guides, about 30 ready-to-use requests for fundraising work, and simple rules for using AI safely with donor data.
Safe by design
Your CRM holds donor data. Everything we build in the cohort follows these rules.
Claude uses your own login, so it can only see what you already can.
Claude reads first. A person approves anything that changes a record.
Emails to donors are saved as drafts for a person to review.
The link that connects Claude to your CRM works like a password. Don't share it.

Questions
Both, in that order. The four weeks are structured, with a session and a task each week. After that, you stay in a community of nonprofits doing the same work, with a monthly meet-up and a shared library.
Yes. One person with a paid Zoho CRM or Bigin licence is enough. The price is the same for one or two people.
Connecting Claude to Zoho is only possible on paid Claude plans. Each participant connects with their own Claude account.
No. You build on your own CRM, on your own screen. Sharing in sessions is optional. If you want somewhere safe to practise, add a few test records to your own account. Our team never connects to your system.
No. Everything happens in Claude and inside Zoho's own screens. If you can build a report in your CRM, you can do this.
Yes. The examples lean on fundraising because that's where most teams start, but the same methods work for partnerships, volunteers or beneficiary follow-ups.
They do different things. We show both. On Bigin Premier and Bigin 360 you can also try Zia Agents in week 4, and compare them with what Claude does on the same job.
